POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate clinical skills and knowledge related to assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients and families in Oncology, Hematology & Nephrology. In keeping with the mission and value statements of the hospital, they will also: Practices according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital and the Oncology PSU; Provides appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family to promote recovery and wellness; Is accountable for maintaining competence and developing expertise in the quality of his/her professional practice; Effectively uses interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to facilitate a team environment; Participates in Quality Improvement and Research opportunities.
