Semiconductor Tooling Specialist

Responsibilities

• Tooling Management & Maintenance
• Execute routine preventative maintenance (PM) , calibration, and cleaning of high-precision semiconductor tools, jigs, fixtures, and molds.
• Troubleshoot and repair tooling defects or wear-and-tear issues to minimize production downtime and maintain continuous manufacturing line operations.
• Manage the inventory of tool spare parts , tracking usage rates and coordinating with procurement to ensure critical spares are always in stock.
• Process Optimization & Quality Control
• Analyze tooling performance and wear data to identify root causes of failures, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineers to optimize tooling designs, aiming to improve product yield, reduce defects, and extend tool lifespans.
• Inspect incoming new or refurbished tooling from vendors to ensure strict adherence to engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and quality specifications.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all tooling modifications, maintenance logs, and calibration records in the manufacturing execution system (MES).
• Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tool handling, setup, and maintenance.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety regulations , cleanroom protocols (Class 10/100/1000 environments), and 5S methodology standards.
