About the role

Ideals has been in the Virtual Data Room space since 2008 and has built a trusted reputation with clients across multiple industries in Europe, including Orcan Energy , E-Gruppe , Deloitte, and EY. To support the next stage of Ideals VDR growth in Germany, we are looking for an Account Executive (BDM) based in Berlin . Joining our DACH Field Sales team alongside your teammates in Munich and Frankfurt, you will proactively prospect outbound opportunities, acquiring new customers with the ultimate goal of closing deals. As a front-line, quota-carrying team member, you will actively reach out to 30-40 new customers monthly, overseeing a pipeline with 50+ opportunities. Engaging proactively with key account decision-makers across Finance, Banking, and other sectors, you will contribute directly to our growth story in Germany. Compensation package: 50% base salary; 50% performance-based variable, uncapped. Why Ideals? Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle in Germany, from self-generated pipeline to closed deals
  • Deliver sales targets by focusing on new customer acquisition
  • Create and develop new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, events, and in-person meetings
  • Build relationships with decision-makers across financial institutions, advisory firms, and other strategic German accounts
  • Consistently share insights and provide updates to customers
  • Take part in arranging M&A Community events, enhancing Ideals visibility
  • Provide relevant customer feedback to the product development and management teams
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Inside Sales to grow customer satisfaction and the company's revenue
  • What you bring
  • 1.5+ years of demonstrable success in direct sales or business development within B2B or professional services sector
  • Experience in high-velocity sales environments and effectively engaging with decision-makers
  • Clear evidence of hunter mentality
  • A track record of successfully generating and managing pipelines and closing high-value deals
  • Exceptional business communication skills to structure persuasive pitches and navigate client discovery
  • Full professional proficiency in English (C1) and native-level fluency in German
  • Based in Berlin or within a realistic commuting distance for in-person client meetings

Requirements

  • Background in SaaS, fintech, financial services, information security, or other high-trust B2B industries
