Job Description The Medical Scientist (MS) for South Italy is a field‑based scientific expert responsible for supporting the Medical Affairs strategy across the LIVE therapeutic areas (Liver, Inflammation, Respiratory Virus and EP). The MS contributes to scientific communication, insight generation, clinical research support and cross‑functional execution of the Medical Plan, working in full compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. The role covers the following regions: Campania, Puglia, Molise, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicilia , ensuring high‑quality scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, scientific societies and research centers across the territory. Given the geographic distribution of the role, candidates residing in Napoli or Bari are preferred . Job Responsibilities Develops and maintains strong scientific relationships with KOLs, HCPs and academic institutions. Acts as a scientific expert, communicating clinical data and real‑world evidence in a balanced and compliant manner. Collects and reports medical insights to inform strategic decision‑making. Supports implementation of the local Medical Plan for LIVE therapeutic areas. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams (Clinical Research, Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, Drug Safety, Public Affairs). Provides scientific support to Clinical Operations for ongoing clinical trials as needed. Supports review and management of Investigator Sponsored Research (ISRs). Contributes to local evidence‑generation initiatives aligned with the medical strategy. Delivers scientific presentations in advisory boards, educational meetings and institutional settings. Supports development and review of scientific materials and educational content. Ensures that all activities comply with Gilead policies, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
