Finance Professional Services - Central Full time (100%), Continuing position Base salary will be in the range $106,709 - $116,198 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity We are looking for a driven and inquisitive Finance Partner to play a key role in supporting the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) portfolio. As part of a collaborative and purpose-led finance advisory team, you will sit at the heart of the University's decision-making, partnering closely with senior leaders to provide strategic financial insights that enable meaningful outcomes. Key responsibilities will include: Providing trusted financial advice to leaders and chief investigators to support cost management and optimal utilisation of funding. Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and managing escalation of complex financial matters. Applying financial processes, governance frameworks and policy controls to ensure compliance with University and external requirements. Facilitating collaboration between finance advisory and transaction services teams to enhance service delivery and performance. About You You are a collaborative and solutions-focused finance professional who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by influencing strategic outcomes through insightful analysis and trusted advice. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Degree qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or a related field, or an equivalent combination of extensive training and professional experience. Strong financial accounting, analysis and reporting capability, including experience delivering project-based accounting services. Experience working in financial advisory or service delivery functions within complex stakeholder and policy environments. Proven ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with diverse stakeholders and clients. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes. Demonstrated ability to provide strategically aligned financial advice and partner with stakeholders to deliver results. Progress towards or membership of a professional accounting body (CPA, CA or equivalent).
