The Job: As a Logistics Supervisor, you'll be part of our Jackson, TN team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to: Oversee all aspects of material handling in the manufacturing environment. Responsible for all supervision activities for material handling, shipping & receiving materials, receiving product, and entering data into SAP. Plan and direct the activities of the Transportation and Logistics Planning team to meet the needs of the customer while maintaining efficiency in Jackson Mfg Operations. Be responsible for short and long-term planning, employment of resources, budgeting and expense control and implementation of operational policies, programs and systems for the department. Build a sense of customer commitment throughout the business unit and works cooperatively with other members of the operation to continually improve customer satisfaction. Provides the necessary talent & resources to meet all objectives & goals. Responsible for manning requirements, training and talent development, goal attainment, and continuous improvement within these areas. Work within a team environment & actively participate in achieving goals of safety, quality, delivery & cost. Interact & communicate effectively & respectfully with subordinates, peers, co-workers, & management. Responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating improved processes and operational polices; recommending changes to fulfill the customers' requirements. Understand and manage Customer delivery expectations, including Vendor Buying Agreements, preferred carrier lists, and other requirements Work closely with designated carriers to ensure all customer delivery expectations are met while managing cost Communicate critical upcoming Promotions/New Product Introductions and significant volume changes to ensure seamless collaboration between Transportation and Supply Chain The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. The salary range for this position is $63,800-$89,600 This is the lowest to highest annual fulltime salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.
