The compensation target for this role is: $161,500 - $190,000Job SummaryDirectly accountable to lead the manufacturing organization to a level ofperformance identifiable with World Class organizations, utilizing leanproduction and continual improvement techniques. Directs all Purplemanufacturing, maintenance, and engineering activities to ensuremaximum effectiveness is obtained for the production of quality productswithin specified time and budgetary guidelines. Works with CorporateEngineering, Innovations, Supply Chain, Quality, Brand, andSales/Marketing to coordinate the production process for productchanges and the introduction of new products.Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for developing production, maintenance, engineeringperformance metrics.Accountable for planning, implementation and directing of allproduction/manufacturing, maintenance and engineeringactivities.Accountable for production, maintenance, engineeringWorks closely with the finance department to align productionbuild with cash flow planning and management.Mentor and grow management talent.Ensures managers provide leadership, coaching/training, respect,transparency, and a chance to grow for all production employees.Holds production, maintenance, engineering personnelaccountable for a strong work ethic, productivity, innovation,profitability, and safety.Creates strategies to focus on the Employee Experience,reduce/eliminate waste/scrap, and ensure a product free ofdefects.Provide leadership in continuous improvement activities toachieve Purples goals of meeting quality, cost, and deliveryobjectives.Develop and provide feedback on sustainability plan and recyclingprogram for manufacturing components.Take action to resolve manufacturing, availability, and qualityproblems when they occur and prevent recurrence Liaise withsuperior to make decisions for operational activities and setstrategic goals.Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensuresmooth progress.Supervise staff from different departments within production andprovide constructive feedback.Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures accordingto organizational objectives and apply improvements.Manage procurement processes and coordinate material andresources allocation.Review financial information and adjust operational budgets topromote profitability.Required Skills, Education, Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent workexperience.5+ years of management experience required.Manufacturing experience (3 years preferred) in rapid growingcompany.Experience in injection molding and/or mattress manufacturingpreferred.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - comfortable inExcel and PPT.Ability to manage and put ideas forward. Ability to work in aproject team and communicate across the organization (Corporate/ Zone).Sufficient technical knowledge to effectively interface with otherdepartments and personnel.Physical RequirementsPhysical activities may occasionally include:Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting forprolonged periods of time.Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, polesand the like.Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in variousenvironments.Communicating with others to exchange information.Physical activities may constantly include:Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/orfingers.Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of workassigned.Remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolongedperiods.Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite toanother.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/orOperating machinery and/or power tools, depending on position.Depending on position may include operating motor vehicles orheavy equipment.-
