- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Promotes staff development through utilization of appropriate learning resources. Serves as preceptor to mentor and develop nursing employees over time. Functions according to Capital Health (CH) guidelines and prepares staff for specific roles in the event of fire, disaster and cardiac codes.

Pay Range: $47.68 - $63.56 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Position Overview SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job) Plans, executes, and evaluates the total nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manger, Nurse Manager, and Director. Utilizes the nursing process to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. Supervises non-professional personnel working directly with RN Team Leader to insure optimum patient care. Works under the direction of the leadership team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Capital Health (CH) and facility goals and strategic plans. Assumes the role of expert for specific assigned surgical service line, and is responsible for monitoring the surgical schedule for equipment and supply needs, preparing for daily case readiness, managing surgeon preference cards. Identifies service issues and communicates and educates appropriate staff. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
