About the role
We are seeking a highly operational and systems-savvy Director of Accounting Operations to lead and scale our global accounting processes in a fast-growing semiconductor technology company. This leader will own the record-to-report (R2R) function (excluding technical accounting and SEC reporting), along with accounts payable, revenue accounting, and other related accounting operations responsibilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on, process-driven accounting leader with deep experience in developing teams in large global enterprise environments, process scaling, Oracle ERP, and centers of excellence models. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building a scalable, efficient, and well-controlled accounting organization capable of supporting a dynamic, global business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting operations organization, including General Ledger, Intercompany & Consolidation, Accounts Payable, Revenue Accounting, International coordination, and other related areas.
- Develop subject matter expertise and global process ownership disciplines
- Oversee the overall global consolidation process, and ensure preparation of consolidated financial statements are timely, accurate, and in accordance with US GAAP.
- Build and scale the global accounting organization through strategic initiatives aligned with the objectives of the Company and leveraging technology partnering closely with the Finance Transformation and Business Systems teams.
- Partner with external auditors to ensure successful completion of quarter reviews and annual audits.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting, governance practices, and continuous refinement of policies and procedures.
- Drive a disciplined, predictable, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Own the design, structure, scalability, and ongoing governance of the chart of accounts (COA).
- Maintain consistency, data integrity, and reporting alignment across legal entities and geographies.
- Drive automation, standardization, and process redesign initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to optimize processes and anticipate accounting outcomes and resources to accommodate.

Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in large enterprise or multinational corporations.
- Strong background in accounting operations and controllership functions.
- Deep expertise in Oracle ERP (GL, AP, AR/Revenue, Fixed Assets, etc.).
- Proven track record in system implementations, finance transformations, or ERP optimization initiatives.
- Experience managing global accounting teams and international operations.
- Demonstrated success establishing or managing offshore shared services (outsourced or captive models).
