Responsibilities

- Your Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent; master's degree preferred
- General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety recommended
- 5+ year ' s relevant EHS experience including experience
- Thorough knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- Pharmaceutical, R& D or chemical operations experience
- Ability to work independently and build partnerships globally
- Experience writing procedures, policies, reports, and correspondence.
- Comfortable with delivering presentations to audiences of 5-200 people (ex. training, presentation of data or results)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures and policies

The EHS Specialist is directly responsible for the adaptation, implementation and development of a broad range of Environmental, Health and Safety programs, within the CSL-Melbourne Research & Development operations and Affiliate offices, as well as across lab and office facilities across APAC . The development, harmonization, provision, implementation and monitoring of EHS standards, coordination with GMs and local external EHS experts & specialists at our affiliates and R&D centers is essential and integral part of this role. Reporting to the Head of EHS R&D and Affiliates this role demonstrates competence across a variety of EHS disciplines while ensuring EHS compliance requirements are being reviewed and maintained at several CSL facilities.
