If you can design an electrical system, understand the critical equipment needs for a high-density GPU data center, and grasp the constructibility of varying designs, you may be a great fit. As we scale rapidly, we are building our team to own more engineering in-house. Engineers will be responsible for taking designs from concept through permit and construction document sets. You must be capable of defining critical equipment specifications and approving equipment submittals. Engineers will directly support construction and be involved throughout the full project lifecycle - from site selection review through commissioning and turnover. Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for FluidStack's high-density GPU data centers, collaborating across disciplines to produce complete construction document sets.
- Deliver designs that meet our rigorous quality standards while staying aligned with project budgets and timelines.
- Partner with commissioning teams to thoroughly test, validate, and document the installation and performance of electrical systems before handoff.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across FluidStack's growing footprint, balancing priorities across different regions and time zones.
- Travel to project sites as needed to conduct field reviews, support onsite engineers, perform electrical system audits, and assist with startup activities.
- Bring creativity and a problem-solving mindset to every project - we want engineers who are excited to find smarter, better ways to build the infrastructure the AI era demands.
- About You
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering experience ideally in a mission critical setting
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Hands on design experience
- Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
Requirements
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
