Service Engineer (Electrical Automation)

Responsibilities

• Analyse equipment failures to determine the cause and recommend/take corrective actions
• To complete all assigned jobs are completed timely and meet customers' specifications.
• Attend and carry out rectification works at the site
• Carry out standby duties as per roster for urgent service requests outside office hour
• Provide customers with continuous technical and operational program support

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• A good team player, independent, and able to work under pressure;
• Positive attitude, coupled with the ability to take initiatives;
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Willingness to travel overseas for an assignment as required

Additional Information

Reporting to the Service Team Lead, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning and testing electrical automation systems. Onboard vessel electrical system of LV/HV main switchboard and emergency switchboard power management system service. ACB VCB and VCS maintenance, calibration and operation function service. Generator service, repair and maintenance service. Boiler, Incinerator, Thruster, motor control station and others electrical automation system onboard. Experience with Ballast Water management system (BWMS) will be an added advantage. Attend to emergency repairs. Assist in other duties as directed.
