Logistics Material Planner - Sr. Engineer

About the role

Material procurement planning and capacity planning as per the customer order Release of schedules / forecast to supplier within defined period. Raw material replenishment as per the plan, lead times & the inventory - Imports & Local Tracking of shipments delivery & arrivals - Local & Imports Working along with LSP on Import shipment. Close co-ordination with manufacturing & align the materials as per production plan Monitoring & improvement of Supplier Service levels Working in tandem with PUR in New sourcing project implementation Addressing material supply issues with problem solving approach Close co-ordination with physical logistics - Milk-run plan, Invoice bookings, etc Demand fluctuation analysis & measures to minimize effect on supply chain Inventory management as per the targets deployed Vendor inventory management Freight cost - Tracking, Control & measures to reduce Supply chain Improvement projects B.E.(Mech) Engineering with 3 - 5 years experience in Supply chain functions Functional Knowledge Skills required: Knowledge on lean logistics, Value Stream concepts, lean manufacturing concepts, Data analytics Strong entrepreneurial thinking and actions Working with cross functional teams across the organization Goal oriented structured way of working Knowledge on MRP tools & methods (e.g. SAP, Add ONE, Excel, Word) ,advanced knowledge in Excel is preferred Exception handling Strong communication, negotiation, conflict management & stake holder management skills Work experience preferably in Automotive / Consumer goods manufacturing set-up Knowledge on lean logistics, Value Stream concepts, lean manufacturing concepts, Data analytics Strong entrepreneurial thinking and actions Goal oriented structured way of working Knowledge on MRP tools & methods (e.g. SAP, Add ONE, Excel, Word) Exception handling
