Cell Group Work closely with the Pastor-in-Charge and Chairperson of Cell Group Ministry to: Lead the drive to improve effectiveness of CG Ministry by having a finger of the pulse of CGs in order to make a good assessment of the health of the ministry through Collecting & analysing macro level data on participation and involvement of members e.g. attendance, level of contribution during CG & preparedness for CG meetings Mentoring selected CGLs to identify and respond to challenges & opportunities in specific groups Working alongside the selected CGLs to identify and groom individuals with leadership potential Promote collaboration between CG ministry and other ministries to engage CG for Church-wide initiatives in tandem with service opportunities for CGs Facilitate sessions to promote ownership of the ministry and build a community of Mutual support and encouragement among CGLs B. Outreach Work closely with the Pastor-in-Charge, W&E Pastor and Chairperson of W&E Ministry to: 1. Facilitate W&E activities and to stand-in when volunteers are not available. Alpha Courses (Saturdays) Assist Chairperson to plan and coordinate volunteer, especially during weekdays Co-facilitator of Alpha Courses, where necessary Assist chairperson and Alpha team in major activities of Alpha such as Alpha Intro, Alpha Weekend and Alpha Finale. 2. English Classes Administration related to student enrolment Assist Chairperson in Block Outreaches Serve as one of the liaisons & coordination POC with agencies (e.g. Fei Yue, Resident Committee/Network, PA), especially during office hours. This includes any commercial companies related to the outreach activities/events. Assist Chairperson on new Outreach endeavours or collaboration with other MCI ministries (e.g. CG outreach coordination, parenting class/community, migrant outreach, creative arts evangelism such as dance) 3. Evangelistic Services Support pastors and ministry in planning and arrangements Preparation of materials and equipment, where relevant. 4. Collect, document and analyse outreach data: Tracking attendance of activities/events Reporting and sharing of post-event review for learning and improvements. Advisory to W&E sub-ministry on analysed data, e.g. demographic of event and follow-up C. Discipleship and Nurture Work closely with the Pastor-in-Charge, and Chairperson of D&N Ministry to: 1. Facilitate lay training Design and recommend to the Local Church Executive Committee an organisation of the training programme of the local church which shall include courses in discipleship, theology, bible study and contemporary Christian concerns. Work with the church school superintendent to organise training for church Sunday school personnel. 2. Facilitate Stewardship training Encourage (using Scripture, tradition, reason, and experience as a basis) stewardship in the local church through five components: The use of God-given talents Personal financial management and life commitments Personal giving through the local church Local church management of resources, and The Christian steward's responsibility in God's world. Work with others on the Local Church Executive Committee to formulate plans and recommend resources to encourage growth in each of these areas. D. Sunday School Work closely with and under the guidance of the Pastor-in-Charge to supervise the total programme of education in the church school. Responsibilities will include: Serving as the administrator of the church Sunday School; Working with the Discipleship and Nurture Committee in the training and selection of church school teachers and leaders; Identifying the needs for various kinds of study opportunities and recommending plans for a study programme in accordance with those needs; Serving as an educational consultant to the Sunday School teachers; Developing and implementing programmes to promote church school attendance and participation; and Evaluating the effectiveness of the study programme of the local church. Candidates should preferably have received theological education but will still be considered even if they did not. Must be able to work on Sundays.
