In addition to the requirements above, applicants must have: Second level supervisory experience and decision authority. Prior experience in dealing with unions (related to the trades) for a large organization supervising at least 20-30 employees. Demonstrate knowledge of operation, capabilities, and limitations of electronic control equipment (Programmable Logic Controllers) and systems as well as skill in applying this knowledge to understand new or extensively modified systems to improvise alignment, repair, and operating procedures that will be efficient, complete, and compatible with available resources. The incumbent directs, organizes, and assigns work to the Facility Craft Supervisor, Machine Shop, Work Leaders, Machinists, Electricians, and the employees who support the Die Knives sharpening operation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement to be considered.
