Responsibilities
- Assist the team with monitoring routine and emergent medical care as specified by state regulations and service definitions.

- Assist with coordinating efforts between pharmacies, physicians, laboratories, etc.; in order to ensure medical needs of individual being supported are met and coordinated safely.
- Conduct quarterly medication audits in order to ensure accurate procedures have been followed and that no medication errors have occurred.
- Develop and monitor programs to help individuals being supported perform self-administration.
- Participate in preparing annual compliance surveys conducted by the Division of Facility Services.
- Ensure a safe environment for the individuals being supported and ensure maintenance of OSHA compliance.
- To promote independence in all medication administration, including self-administration and medication education.
- Drive and travel to participants as required.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas.
- Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Provide trainings/input for protocols for special accommodations, i.e. seizures, diabetes, special equipment etc.
- Maintain availability by telephone to receive doctors' orders and to assist Monarch staff with implementing new medical/medication orders for Residential Services.
