Purpose and Scope Lead the end-to-end electrical engineering scope for Power Plants, Data Centres, Solar PV, and BESS projects from a developer's perspective, including feasibility studies, electrical sizing, concept and detailed design development, tender preparation, and technical evaluation. Responsible for design verification to ensure compliance with performance, safety, grid, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams to foster a collaborative team culture with continuous improvement. Key Roles and Responsibilities Provide technical support to Business Development by preparing electrical concepts, feasibility assessments, project capacity estimates, and high‑level cost inputs for bids and proposals. Preparation of electrical design deliverables, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, module/inverter layouts, stringing arrangements, protection schemes, and grid interconnection concepts. Develop electrical design specifications, functional requirements, and Employer's Requirements for tendering and project execution. Perform electrical sizing and engineering calculations, including cable sizing & voltage drop Evaluate new technology and innovative solutions, e.g., advanced instrumentation systems, smart sensors, and competitive alternatives to SF6-insulated GIS. Attend FAT/SAT and functional testing to ensure E&I equipment meets design intent and project premise. Conduct system performance analysis and software simulations for Solar PV and BESS systems to validate energy yield, losses, and operational behaviour. Conduct software simulations and modelling for Solar PV and BESS systems to validate design assumptions. Provide engineering and technical support during construction and installation, addressing site issues, responding to RFIs, supporting design clarifications, and resolving deviations from approved designs. Review and verify EPC contractor and vendor design submissions to ensure compliance with technical specifications, standards, regulatory& authorities and EPC contract requirements. Collaborate with O&M teams to review operational performance, identify optimisation opportunities, and incorporate lessons learned into future designs. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Electrical engineering discipline or equivalent 3 to 5 years' experience in Electrical Systems, with a plus in Solar PV, or BESS system design / engineering.
