This role will support MET Group´s corporate strategy, evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities, as well as shape and manage various business development initiatives. Essential responsibilities Provide a clear view on renewables and conventional energy market trends based on economic, regulatory, technology and supply chain information to enable informed strategy and business decisions Lead and facilitate multiple large strategic initiatives in cooperation with the executives of the Renewable and Asset Segment Pro-actively propose and design identified operational excellence and strategic initiatives, build project teams, and support shaping MET Groups strategic agenda Evaluate the strategic consistency of the Renewable and Asset Segment's business, as well as due diligence organic and inorganic M&A/ project opportunities Monitor competitor developments and benchmarks, as well as market developments across all business areas to assess their long-term impact Originate and evaluate business/ investment opportunities in innovative, low-carbon fuel sources and technologies Project manage pan-European and global business development/ building initiatives Master's degree in finance, law or business administration from a tier1 university (CFA and/or MBA a plus) 3-5 years' experience in developing energy assets, investment banking, private equity/debt, and/or M&A In-depth expertise in the European energy market Ability to summarize complex topics and extract decision options Excellent project management and interpersonal skills Highly motivated, solid work ethic, and ability to work in a close-knit team Creative and open-minded with an ability to link theoretical scenarios into concrete action plans/practice Fluent English, other European languages a plus
