Responsibilities
- Are you a highly driven and strategic Manager with experience in Supply Chain and Logistics? At Leonardo Helicopters, we have an opportunity for a Supply Logistics Inventory Control Team (SLICT) Manager to lead the delivery of the Material Service element for our Military Export (MILEX) contracts.

- What you will do as a SLICT Manager:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, senior management, and key stakeholders, ensuring material delivery issues are clearly communicated and effectively managed.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Availability Officers and Controllers, ensuring the successful delivery of material solutions to meet customer requirements worldwide.
- Oversee Availability and Sustainment activities, ensuring material and operational supply needs are consistently achieved.
- Collaborate across Procurement, Logistics, Programmes, Engineering, and MRP to ensure effective prioritisation and material flow.
- Monitor programme performance data to proactively identify risks and protect customer satisfaction.
- Represent Material Services at customer reviews and deputise for the Delivery Manager when required.
- Manage and prioritise asset allocation, ensuring impact assessments and senior stakeholder briefings are completed where necessary.
- Escalate material-related issues appropriately to the Head of Material Services.
- Support internal reporting including forecasting, variance analysis, and root cause identification.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, delivering excellent internal and external customer service
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
- Demonstrated capability to influence at senior levels within customer and industry environments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience engaging across all organisational levels
- Strong problem-solving and solution development skills, applied within operational environments
- In-depth understanding of customer planning, operations, and material supply/inventory management processes
- Proven track record in logistics management within an aerospace environment
- Strong knowledge of logistics and material supply techniques
- Experience leading teams in complex, high-demand commercial environments
- Experience managing complex contractual arrangements, including service delivery, inventory, and financial performance
- Awareness and understanding of customer operations and aircraft usage

Job Description: Salary Range: £53,000 to £55,000 Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.
