In short, the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for driving safe, compliant operations across Reconditioning Centers and Retail Dealership locations. This role takes a proactive approach to identifying risk, implementing practical solutions, and ensuring consistent execution of environmental, health, and safety standards across all sites. By combining strong partnerships, data-driven insights, and scalable EHS programs, the Specialist helps reduce incident frequency, minimize risk exposure, and elevate overall safety and environmental performance across a fast-paced, multi-site operation. In long, as the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Managing site-level permits and ensuring all operations meet regulatory requirements Leading OSHA and non-OSHA inspections, ensuring audit readiness, timely responses, and closure of corrective actions Designing, implementing, and continuously updating EHS training programs and curriculum Managing training databases, schedules, and compliance reporting to ensure completion across all sites Partnering with leadership to evaluate and improve training effectiveness and alignment with business needs Overseeing and conducting regular EHS inspections across Reconditioning Centers and dealership locations Reviewing inspection findings, escalating risks, and driving issue resolution with key stakeholders Performing root cause analyses on safety incidents and recurring issues, and implementing corrective and preventive actions Managing EHS vendors, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for improved service delivery and cost efficiency Administering driver and drug compliance programs, including reviewing motor vehicle records and drug testing results Leading incident investigations, claims management, and risk mitigation efforts to reduce repeat incidents Analyzing trends in claims and safety data to proactively address systemic risks and lower total cost of risk (TCOR) Monitoring environmental and external risk factors (e.g., weather), proactively communicating potential impacts to leadership Tracking key EHS metrics and delivering actionable, data-driven insights to leadership teams So What Kind of Folks Are We Looking For?
