Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly operating and project budget variances for review and submission.
- Develop monthly and quarterly forecasts for operating and project budgets.
- Compile, review, and analyze monthly operating cost accruals to ensure accuracy.
- Set up operating projects (budgeted and unbudgeted) and partner with project managers on cost control, accruals, and forecasting.
- Travel up to 400 km to remote facilities to provide in-person financial support to operational teams.

- Act as a key financial resource within the Incident Command System during emergency response activities.
Requirements
- Related university degree and/or professional designation in a finance, accounting, or business management with 4 or more years of directly related experience.
- Progress toward a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of the budgeting cycle; long-term financial planning and multi-year budgeting would be an asset.
- Proficiency with financial management systems and applications including Advanced Excel (formulas and Pivot tables) PowerBI and SharePoint; Oracle Financials/Project Management would be an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across teams.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, organizational and team skills.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP would be an asset.
- Working Conditions:
- This position is typically based in a Field Office (80%)
- Travel required to remote field locations to (20%)
