Technical Marketing Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience or Master's degree plus 3 years' experience, or PhD in related field.
• Experience in optical, packet optical, or coherent optics product capabilities.
• Experience crafting user documentation, such as white papers, deployment guides, or methodology documents.
• Experience delivering technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, or training to internal and/or external customers
• Technical background in networking, routing, and switching.
• Automation and software proficiency to include Linux, VMware, and Python.
• Analysis of market positions and competitive landscapes to inform product strategy.
• Written and verbal presentation skills to aid in complex technical feature demonstrations that appeal to diverse audiences.
• A positive, proactive work ethic with a demonstrated passion for complex problem-solving.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multicultural, cross-functional team environment.

• The starting salary range posted for this position is $113,900.00 to $161,000.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.
• U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:
• 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
• 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
