This Banner Del Webb Medical Center Part-Time Night Geriatric Behavioral Health RN role will care for a wide range of different mental health diagnoses that require an extra level of acute medical care. Nurses who enjoy working with children and adults will succeed in this role. In times of need, BeH RNs may float to medical units as a helping hand, not to take a patient assignment. Ideal candiate will have at least 1 year experience in Behavioral Health. BSN preferred. This position is for a Part-Time Night Shift Opening for the Behavioral Health Unit! Whether you are an experienced Behavioral Health nurse or looking to break into the field, Banner Del. E Webb Medical Center is the perfect fit for you! You will work in our psychiatry units, which focus on geriatric, dementia, and adult psychiatry. The hours will be from 7pm-7:30am for 2 shifts per week which will include weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage as well as enjoy a $3/hour weekend shift differential! RNs in Behavioral Health provide 24/7 crisis intervention and therapeutic services in a medically safe, recovery-focused environment. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members.
