Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the procurement of all goods, supplies, and services to support the production cycle time requirements of the plant.
- Lead the SIOP process for the plant and maintain continuous knowledge of demand, capacity, and inventory to achieve OTD, inventory, and productivity goals.

- DDetermines materials requirements needed to meet production schedules, inventory levels, and shipment demands to achieve on-time production and inventory management requirements.
- Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems and recommends and/or implements solutions to optimize inventory levels and manufacturing schedule.
- Arranges for the sale of scrap, obsolete, surplus materials and by-products in order to minimize E&O.
- Works cross-functionally to support new product introductions and transitions to ensure on timely and cost-effective changes.
- Collaborates with Divisional SCM, sourcing to drive down total cost of ownership
- Collaborates with site to strengthen Business Continuity Management plan
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineer, Business or related areas.
- Preferable a Master Degree or MBA.
- Language capabilities: Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
- Minimum 7 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimun 5 years experience of personal supervising
- Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
- Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, shipping/receiving. #LI-MB2
- Preferable: APICS Certification
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing techniques and practices, including procedures associated with sourcing internationally.
- Detailed knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management
