Compressor Rebuild Mechanic III

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks to rebuild/repair compressors without supervision such as: Compressor tear down, inspection, assembly, miscellaneous machining, parts cleaning.
• Capable of identifying basic and intermediate issues.
• Capable of resolving basic to intermediate issues with minimal supervisory support.
• Coaches and provides expertise to resolve issues and ensures corrective action is implemented.
• Executes simple tests of compressors without supervision.
• Provides technical support to customers and service personnel.
• Performs all work according to customer requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Your Profile / Qualifications
• High school or technical school diploma or equivalent
• 5-10 years of experience with refrigeration compressors (screw and/or piston/reciprocal).
• Mechanical and/or machining experience preferred
• The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $30.46 - $40.62 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
