Requirements

• *Strong working and developing knowledge of operatic repertoire
• *Graphic design and digital media fluency. Willingness to learn Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign)
• *Familiarity and facility with applicable software platforms including Microsoft 365, Mac and PC operating systems, customized databases (eg. Tessitura)
• *Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
• *Professional demeanor in all verbal and written correspondence with intergenerational constituent groups
• *Strong interpersonal skills and discretion with sensitive information
• *Willingness to take initiative and research solutions in a fast-paced environment
• *Career-focused interest in opera, the arts, nonprofit and/or artistic administration
• *Strong attention to detail in crucial data entry and review

Additional Information

The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition discovers promising young opera singers and assists in the development of their careers. Hundreds of volunteers from across North and South America fundraise, operate, and support the efforts of the Competition and its singers. Annually, over 1,500 singers apply and nearly $600,000 in prizes are awarded. Some of today's greatest opera stars got their start in the Competition.
