About the role

This position is located at Departmental Offices, Management CFO - Privacy, Transparency, and Records. As a Associate Director, Privacy, Transparency and Records Operations, you will support the Director and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of PTR in the overall management of the office and in the supervision of employees and program initiatives. The incumbent performs a variety of duties to aid the Director and DASPTR in their duties overseeing the work of the office. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Improving organizational efficiency and effectiveness through the planning, execution, and oversight of program reviews, studies, and operational assessments; AND - Independently leading multiple projects and initiatives, including analyzing operations, identifying deficiencies, and implementing process improvements; AND - Providing guidance and recommendations on administrative, budgetary, or organizational matters, including recommending changes to procedures, program operations, resource allocations, or organizational structures; AND - Developing, coordinating, and preparing reports, briefings, issue papers, memoranda, or studies; AND - Formulating and presenting recommendations to senior leadership on significant programmatic and organizational issues. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
