SRO Procurement Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering procurement strategies for major project scope
• Accountable for running end-to-end procurement processes (from PQQ through to award) for our SRO major project portfolio
• Designing fair, transparent and competitive procurement approaches
• Engaging with the market to encourage strong, diverse supplier participation
• Ensuring compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and Ofwat guidance
• Building clear, auditable processes to support governance and reporting
• Collaborating with legal, engineering and delivery teams
• Managing external advisers and supporting knowledge sharing within the team
• Aligning procurement with wider programme and commercial objectives

Requirements

• Experienced procurement manager, with knowledge of the water sector or utilities and a background in delivering major infrastructure/ construction projects
• Confidence leading complex, high-value procurements
• Understanding of the latest UK procurement regulations and broader regulated industry requirements
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercial awareness and a thoughtful, problem-solving approach
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with delivery
• It would be great if you also have
