We are currently looking for a Project Manager Capital Works to join our team at Barts and Royal London who will provide effective, professional leadership of day-to-day design and construction management for significant capital works projects. As the Project Manager Capital Works, you will: Represent Skanska at meetings, upholding a professional image and ensuring all staff understand and fulfil their responsibilities in this regard. Build and strengthen client relationships to enhance trust, identify new opportunities, and support long-term revenue growth. Ensure all design solutions provided by designers and sub-contractors fully comply with project requirements, statutory obligations, and the agreed budget strategy. Ensure that all contractual and claim-related correspondence is actioned appropriately and within required timeframes, maintaining clear records and supporting effective commercial governance. Support the management of design consultants (where applicable) by ensuring information is issued in line with the procurement strategy and that working drawings are completed within agreed timeframes. We are looking for: Significant experience delivering projects of a similar nature and scale, including demonstrable experience in fulfilling Principal Contractor and Principal Designer duties. Strong competency in the requirements of the Building Safety Act, including safety-case principles, duty holder roles for higher-risk buildings, and processes supporting the golden thread of building safety information. Comprehensive understanding of project delivery across all RIBA stages, from early design through construction, completion, and handover. Possession of relevant trade-registered qualifications is essential. Education to ONC level (or equivalent) is preferred. Likely to hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIOB, RICS, APM, or equivalent), which is considered desirable.
