Responsibilities

• Be the champion of our customers - ensuring every guest receives unbeatable service.
• Bring our values and culture to life for both customers and the team.
• Monitor and guide daily store operations to maintain fast, efficient service.
• Build capability across the front‑of‑house teams so they can add value to every transaction.
• Use customer feedback to create action plans, celebrate wins, and coach the team for continuous improvement.
• Execute retail initiatives, promotions, and offers to the highest standard.
• Stay informed on local competitors, customer trends, and community needs - and share insights with the wider team.
• Maintain a high level of safety for customers, crew and contractors ensuring store operations aligned with our business standards.
• Support team leaders to develop high-performing store teams, manage performance, and recruit and onboard new team members.

Requirements

• A passion for outstanding customer service and strong community connection.
• Proven leadership in retail, QSR, or a fast‑paced service environment.
• A safety‑first mindset and commitment to Ampol's operational standards.
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confidence managing performance, rostering, inventory, and commercial targets.
• Flexibility to travel between sites and support teams over peak trading hours as needed.

We're looking for a passionate, people‑focused team leader who knows how to create exceptional customer experiences every single day through building high‑performing teams, and driving service excellence. In this role you'll be responsible for the day to day running of our newest Soul Origin offering coming soon to the Pheasants Nest Northbound highway site. You'll get to help open the store and build the team from scratch. This is a super exciting opportunity with potential to grow to a multi site management role in future.
