About the role
In this role you will work as a key member of the Roku Ads Engineering Customer Interface (ACI) team. You will hire and develop a team that will design, develop, and operate components of our best-in-class suite of customer-facing web applications including Campaign Management, Demand Side Platform, Data Management Platform, Reporting and Forecasting toolsets. The customer interface team and the corresponding API services layer operate on a modern tech stack including React, Node.js and agentic AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team to execute ambitious product and technical roadmaps.
- Hire quality software engineering professionals and build a high-performance team to deliver Roku's business objectives.
- Set clear objectives for the team and individuals that are measurable and attainable.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define goals, requirements and scope for the Roku business initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance to the team and ensure that timely and informed decisions are made to remove the project impediments.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software deliverables with rigorous Validation and Verification testing cycles.
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding and continuous training and improvement of engineering teams
- Communicate projects status, risks and outcomes to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning in the teams, including active adoption of AI tools and technologies in software engineering.

- Overall 16+ years of hand-on software engineering experience with the past 5+ years in leading and managing technology teams.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a proven ability to guide the team in the design, architecture, development, testing and deployment phases of the project.
- Proven capability of making technical tradeoffs based on changing business priorities and technical roadmaps
- Proven record of implementing essential software engineering practices include code review, automated testing, CI/CD pipeline and performance optimizations
- Demonstrated team leadership in terms of hiring, training, retaining and mentoring highly performant engineering teams.
- History of successful stakeholder collaboration with product managers, designers and senior leadership to align technical deliverables with business objectives.
