- Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in R&D, analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, method development, environmental analysis, industrial chemistry, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
- Strong background in Analytical Chemistry is required, including experience with chemical analysis, method development, calibration, validation, troubleshooting, and interpretation of experimental results.
- Experience in Electrochemistry is highly preferred.
- Broad chemistry experience is desirable, especially across wet chemistry, analytical methods, laboratory testing, materials, reagents, instrumentation, or applied R&D.
- Strong hands-on laboratory skills and willingness to work directly with experiments, instruments, samples, reagents, and prototypes.
- Ability to independently plan experiments, analyse results, identify issues, and make evidence-based technical decisions.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and scientific judgment.
- Experience taking ownership of projects, technical workstreams, or complex experimental tasks from planning through execution and reporting.
- Proactive, responsible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities and practical constraints.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with chemists, engineers, software/data teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical ideas, experimental results, risks, and recommendations clearly.
- Experience with data analysis tools or scientific software such as Excel, Python, MATLAB, Origin, or similar platforms would be an advantage.
