Lead, Laboratory Quality & Standards

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee quality assurance programs to ensure laboratory operations meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and management to standardize procedures, optimize workflows, and promote a culture of quality and accountability.
• Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel on quality control, data management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• 6-10 years of experience in laboratory operations, quality management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or quality assurance role.
• Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry, or a related discipline; a Master's degree (MSc) is an advantage.
• Professional certification in laboratory quality management (e.g., MLS(ASCP), CQA(ASQ)) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory accreditation standards (e.g., ISO 15189, CAP, CLIA) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with a commitment to driving quality and innovation in laboratory services.
• Must be a resident of Imo State or open to relocation.
