Legal Counsel - Commercial/General (Portuguese Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for a driven and ambitious lawyer to join our international In-House Legal Team, supporting Fever's fast-growing operations with primary responsibility for Brazil. Reporting directly to the Lead Counsel IBERIA, you will play a key role in enabling Fever's continued regional expansion in Portugal and the rest of Iberia region. As Legal Counsel - Portugal, you will provide proactive, business-oriented legal support across a wide range of matters - from commercial contracts and corporate governance to regulatory and compliance issues. You'll collaborate closely with teams such as Business Development, Tax, Finance, Product, Originals and Operations to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal guidance that supports Fever's continued growth across the region. Responsibilities

• Drafting / revising Portuguese and English language commercial contracts, terms and conditions, RFP submission documentation and similar legal documents
• Supporting commercial teams in the negotiation of deals and documents
• Researching legal issues related to product development and regulatory compliance
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisors to prioritise and manage legal matters
• Assisting and participating in knowledge management and operational excellence within Legal, including by identifying the need for and participating in preparation of templates, guides, processes and similar documents and tools
• Participating in ongoing compliance functions and product advice as required
• Upskilling, support, and growth of other team members

Requirements

• Be a practising lawyer with 5+ years of post-qualification experience working in a Portuguese-speaking jurisdiction.
• Professional fluency in Portuguese and English is essential, with proficiency in an additional language a strong plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence.
• Experience working on international projects or with global teams.
• A team player who is adaptable and eager to learn.
• This position will be located in Lisbon , with some flexibility for starting dates.
