Requirements
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program that meets the standards outlined in the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act.
- Must have worked as a Personal Support Worker in Long Term Care.
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.
- Behavioural Support Ontario (BSO) certification and Imagine training is considered an asset.
- Strong computer literacy and typing skills, familiarity with programs such as Word, Excel, PCC, PPOC, Workday, UKG, Outlook is an asset.
- Must understand the basics of good sanitation and clean techniques, Knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents.
- Must be mature with effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
