Responsibilities

  • System design and development: system requirement and architecture updates including bus signal reviews, configuration updates, and wiring changes

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the V-model lifecycle
  • Experience with avionics integration on Part 25 aircraft
  • Experience with supplier oversight
  • Ability to analyze technical data, troubleshoot test failures, and drive root-cause investigations, and document results clearly
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats, intellectual curiosity, and good cross-functional versatility
  • Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Direct experience with airplane development programs especially experimental designs
  • Firsthand background in test planning and execution
  • Familiarity with digital thread approaches (CAD/FEA/PLM)

Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The range for this role is $140,000 to $175,000. As an Avionics Architecture Engineer, you will be responsible for helping create and integrate the full avionics suite for JetZero's aircraft by translating operator and airworthiness requirements, working with the avionics suppliers to implement those requirements, and going through the testing and integration process. You will collaborate closely with other system engineering teams, labs, and technicians to shape the avionics system. JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and humble.
