About the role

The Production Team Lead role is responsible for building engineered HVAC units and ensuring their production assembly cell is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. The Production Team Lead provides effective training to the department employees and ensures safety and quality standards are always maintained. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned. Responsible to build engineered HVAC equipment utilizing equipment, standard work processes, work content for a specified area and lead a work cell Promote and adhere to LEAN guidelines. Is responsible for maintaining his/her team build standards and to work with other teams to accomplish this. Follows the standards and processes set for that specific station. Documents daily activities by completing takt tracker, station boards, and other standard documents as necessary Turns in all required paperwork and reporting in a timely manner. Effectively works with purchasing and materials personnel. Assists with initiatives as needed, helping to improve the business. Works closely with other technicians, other team leads, engineering, quality and safety teams in a team environment, offering insight, status information, and other support as needed. Attends, contributes to, and/or leads meetings with team members and management as needed. Follows company standards for build, quality, values and behaviors Follows company safety policies. Demonstrate positive and proactive behavior. Demonstrate good leadership skills, including communicating effectively with others. Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required. Flexibility to occasionally work in other company departments when needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Does not have any supervisory responsibilities. May be asked to assist in interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two years of college or technical school; or four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use a tape measure REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver's license PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
