Requirements

• Recognized teaching qualification (2. Staatsexamen or equivalent recognized teaching qualification)
• Knowledge, understanding or teaching experience of the German primary school curriculum
• Humorous and resilient personality with a satisfaction for teaching and educating young people
• Experience with teaching methods that lead to individualized learning (outdoor work, weekly schedule, Portfolio etc)
• Excellent German language skills (fluent) as you will be required to teach German speaking pupils. Good knowledge of English also required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Openness to participate in an international team
• Good computer skills and experience integrating new media into the class

We are looking for a Relief Primary School Teacher in the German Section for the German European School Singapore. Als Vertretungslehrkraft ist Ihnen keine feste Wochenstundenzahl zugewiesen und Sie werden kurz- oder mittelfristig über Einsätze informiert. Diese können einzelne oder auch mehrere Unterrichtsstunden umfassen, die über eine Woche oder auch länger verteilt sind. As a relief teacher you are not assigned to a fixed teaching load and will be notified to come to GESS campus at short or medium-term notice. This could be for a matter of hours or for a series of lessons spread over a week or more.
