About the role

Behind many of life's most important transactions - buying a house, applying for a mortgage, getting a small business loan, or refinancing a credit card - is a network of credit relationships. Setpoint provides critical operational infrastructure for relationships between the world's largest banks, credit funds and capital markets counterparties. We're building trust in this system of credit. We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will review residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with agency, originator and/or investor guidelines, internal policies, Rating Agency requirements and regulatory requirements. This position reports directly to the inTENT Chief Operating Officer (COO) . Who will love this job A detail obsessive - you catch what others miss and take pride in a clean, complete loan file. Responsibilities

  • Review residential mortgage loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency, originator, and/or investor guidelines.
  • Identify conditions and findings; review trailing documents as needed.
  • Ensure all required documents are present and properly executed, including the Final Closing Disclosure, Note, Mortgage/Deed of Trust, Application, and other closing documentation.
  • Detect and resolve errors or discrepancies in loan files that may affect the sale or insurability of a loan.
  • Calculate income, debts, DTI, DSCR, and assets; review Entity documentation on borrowing entities.
  • Perform quality control checks and contribute to continuous process improvement.
  • Support audit preparation and respond to findings from investors or regulatory bodies.
  • Stay current on mortgage industry guidelines, regulatory changes, and investor overlays.
  • Maintain working knowledge of internal systems; test updates and revisions as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
  • 2+ years of secondary market underwriting experience
  • Knowledge of Operational Underwriting
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
