Structural Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software solutions, writing clean, efficient code using Object Oriented Programming Languages (OOP) including Java, TypeScript, SQL, or similar.
• Analyze and resolve complex software issues, optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to align technical solutions with business objectives and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, code reviews, and support for best practices in software development and system design.
• Contribute to system architecture design and reviews, making decisions that improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, integration, and deployment processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, evaluating and adopting new tools to solve business challenges and improve engineering efficiency.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, APIs, and user guides to support long-term system maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Systems Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience developing scalable web applications and APIs, leading software projects, contributing to technical architecture, and implementing new technologies and engineering best practices.
• 2+ years of experience in any of the following: Version control, managing branches, resolving merge conflicts, and conducting code reviews on GitHub or GitLab.

Remora is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to lead the design, analysis, and development of structural systems. This role will drive structural engineering efforts end-to-end, oversee the analysis and validation of components and assemblies, and provide technical leadership in design decisions.
