Position Summary North Park University Office of Student Activities is seeking to hire a part-time Student Activities Assistant and Ultimate Frisbee Coach. This position begins August 2026-May 2027. Reporting directly to the Director of Intercultural Student Affairs, the position will be responsible for working to create spaces of belonging and student success for North Park University students. The position will also serve as the captain to both the Allihopa (women) and Lost Boys (men) Ultimate frisbee teams. Responsibilities Assists in the planning and execution of major departmental programs, including the Voyage Student Involvement Fair, Homecoming, and signature programs hosted by the Office of Student Activities and the Office of Intercultural Student Affairs. Serve as a support staff during events, providing assistance to new students, families and guests. Plan local events in the City of Chicago for North Park University students that expose them to the arts, concerts, culture, entertainment, sporting events, and educational offerings. Process reimbursements requests and approve program purchasing requests. Design and support co-curricular education initiatives centered on culture, identity, and diversity to promote student success and belonging. Communicate with all North Park staff and faculty whose services are needed, including but not limited to, the Offices of Housing and Residence Life, Alumni Relations, Physical Plant, Media Services and North Park Dining. Promote events and opportunities for connection and development to commuter students using various communication channels and strategies. Provide programming and support to the commuter council for commuter student week, meetings, and special initiatives. Ultimate Frisbee Coach Collaborate with team captains to create practice plans, team development strategies; running and controlling team drills; in-game strategy, and increase individual and team skills. Assist the team captains in campus player recruitment and selection process. Work with the captains to coordinate Fall tournament schedule and Spring tournament schedule. Travel with the frisbee teams to tournaments and events by vehicle. Other duties as assigned by Director of Intercultural Student Affairs, Office of Student Activities staff, and the Division of Student Engagement staff. Salary: $10,000 per year A bachelor's degree is required. Coaching or playing experience and extensive knowledge of the frisbee sport. Experience and enthusiasm for student activities, programming, leadership development, social media, and marketing. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Have good attention to detail and excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to travel on weekends and work evenings for team practices and events. A valid driver's license is required and the ability to operate a North Park University vehicle. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park University's mission of Christian higher education. Desired Acceptance in a North Park University graduate program. Demonstrate understanding of the foundational purpose of student development theory and cultural programming. CPR Training or ability to obtain certification. Comfortable with using student engagement technology.
