Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
  • Associate: 5-9 years experience
  • Experience in fund accounting, audit, or asset management preferred

  • Strong communication and partner management
  • Advanced Excel proficiency

About this role Job Summary At BlackRock, Alternatives Fund Controllers (AFC) play a critical role in delivering independent oversight, strong governance, and financial integrity across the firm's alternative investment platform. The AFC function partners closely with Investment Teams, Product Strategy, Valuations, and external service providers to ensure accurate, timely, and controlled valuation and reporting of alternative investment funds. The Associate will support oversight of Net Asset Value (NAV) and fund financial reporting across Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Credit, Hedge Funds, and Fund of Funds. This role provides exposure to complex fund structures, fund lifecycle events, and controller-level responsibilities within a global operating model.
