We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Label Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining label machinery to meet daily production deadlines safely and efficiently. Key Areas of Responsibility Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate label machinery to achieve strict production deadlines in accordance with the daily schedule. Inventory & Material Management: Log raw materials, dates, and carton ID numbers into the ERP system to maintain strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory controls, track job time, and quickly identify raw material quality control issues. Waste Reduction: Monitor operations closely to minimize the waste, scrap, or misuse of raw production materials. Equipment Maintenance: Take ownership of the care and maintenance of all production dies. Identify and communicate machine performance or label quality issues immediately to the Production Supervisor and/or Facility Manager. Facility Operations: Assist with distribution functions as needed, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience: 1 to 2 years of related machine operation, manufacturing, or production training. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude to effectively analyze, set up, adjust, and operate technical label machinery. Ability to use digital ERP software for data logging. Frequently required to reach, handle, and feel materials. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Position requires close vision (20 inches or less) and color vision to distinguish materials accurately. Flexibility: Regular and reliable attendance is essential. Ability to work overtime or adjust to a different shift as needed by management.
