Software Engineer III - iOS

About the role

The Member Engagement & Retention team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation while engaging Walmart+ members with the innumerous benefits being offered. We have increased engagement and retention of W+ members to dizzying heights and we have only gotten started. Building platforms and data solutions powered by ML and Personalization, our features are tuned to cater the best of the best to customers. Immigration support is not provided for these role

Responsibilities

• Develop features with the highest level of quality by thinking of all the ways that the feature can be broken, with resiliency plans and fail-safe mechanisms in place
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the iOS framework and respective component lifecycles
• Have an extensive knowledge of Swift 5
• Have the ability to build products with a focus on Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability with XCTest and XCUITest
• Have the capability of building user interfaces programmatically
• Have a wide-experience working in multi plugin environment projects
• Have an expert-level knowledge of git and CI/CD systems such as TeamCity or Jenkins
• Gained an experience in good app architecture using design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean
• Possess an extensive understanding of iOS framework components and their respective lifecycles combined with a solid knowledge of multithreading, protocols, structures, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning
• Can build reusable iOS components, orchestrate user-interactions integrating with backend services via REST and GraphQL APIs
• Experience in working closely with product, design, and UX teams to create amazing and intuitive experiences that make it effortless to connect different apps together

Requirements

• At least 4 yrs of experience in iOS development
• Extensive understanding of the iOS framework
• components and their respective lifecycles combined with a solid knowledge of multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning
• Build reusable iOS components, orchestrate user-interactions integrating with backend services via REST and GraphQL APIs
• Wide experience working in multi-module environment projects.
• Extensive knowledge of git and continuous integration
• Experience in good app architecture using design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean
• Experience in working for large corporations
