About the Position: Serves as a Traffic Management Specialist in the ARTRANS G3 Terminal Operations Division with responsibility for the development, implementation, and evaluation of cargo movement via sealift around the world. Responsibilities include a mastery of technical transportation skills applicable to the movement of all classes of cargo to include plans, concepts, principles, readiness, systems, and methodology along with the skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) coordinating transportation services with partner agencies to meet mission requirements; 2) resolving transportation issues to ensure cargo is delivered on schedule; and 3) processing cargo manifests within defense or global transportation networks to accurately track shipments. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
