Responsibilities

  • Lead Operational Risk Management (ORM) process implementation for your assigned production unit (PU) as per ORM standard and best practices
  • Partner with the PU leadership teams and other OEMS process key stakeholders to ensure process interfaces are accurately captured, to drive a step change improvement in OEMS maturity including Asset level Risk Register completeness with quality, for all operational risks
  • Responsible for Suncor OEMS, managing operational risk process implementation in a timely manner
  • Develop and/or update Asset Level risk register for Base Plant (BP) in accordance with operational risk framework (ORF) in the common risk template and ensure that mitigation ownership Accountable/Responsible/Owner (ARO) is consistent and clear
  • Lead and/or facilitate Bowtie analysis for all Major Incident Hazards (MIHs) for identifying critical controls across BP in accordance ORM process standard and Best Practice
  • Support implementation of critical controls assurance program (CCA) at base plant, in consultation with site leadership and area subject matter experts
  • Support the maturity roadmap by translating risk management process improvement initiatives to your respective production unit
  • Review and update PUs on risk maturity and CCA effectiveness including consolidation, and analysis of variety of reports in the Enablon Risk and Inspection Modules
  • Location & other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory

Other disciplines will be considered if candidate has strong knowledge of risk managementRegistered as a Professional Engineer designation or immediately eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)A high-level knowledge of the resource industry including understanding of internal and external business issues related to risk management that impact direction of our industryA fundamental understanding of risk management principles and potentially the processes and tools associated with itProven informal leadership skills with the ability to influence, persuade and facilitate change; proactive and able to work effectively with others in a non-authoritative leadership roleHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offPerformance bonus
