About the role

You will serve as a Senior Project Manager in Project Management Team 3, Programs & Project Management Division, Planning, Design & Construction Directorate of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic. Salary shown is for the Norfolk location. Salary range for the Great Lakes location is: $118,984 - 154,682.00. Salary range for the Cherry Point location is: $106,437.00 - $138,379.00. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. If you meet this requirement, you must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show your current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement. In addition to the SPF and basic requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Leading project teams with responsibility to coordinate and manage scope, schedule, and budget for facilities design and construction; 2) Coordinating all phases of facilities design and construction independently within constraints and stakeholders requirements; 3) Independently facilitating sensitive stakeholder discussions and resolution of complex project problems exercising sound judgement; 4) Independently developing, monitoring, and controlling schedules in coordination with stakeholder's requirements and commitments; 5) Tracking and reporting project status using enterprise project management software tools, scheduled reports and briefings, and unscheduled data calls independently; and 6) Coordinating the development and implementation of project acquisition plans in alignment with enterprise goals, legal constraints, and best practices.
