Entity: Technology Job Family Group: Procurement & Supply Chain Management Group Job Description: Role Synopsis Procurement Sourcing is an integral part of how the BP business and functions operate. Procurement Sourcing support delivery of BP business and functional strategies by driving efficiency and effectiveness. The Procurement sourcing team is part of the Sourcing and Contracting pillar and drives the way in which BP approaches the market to source third party supply, balancing efficiency and value drivers in line with category strategy. This role supports various Castrol businesses and is an Individual Contributor role accountable for delivering a range of end‑to‑end sourcing, contracting and supplier performance management activities under the Category Management Policy (CMP) within the MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) category. The Sourcing Senior Analyst supports Castrol manufacturing plants, warehouses, laboratories, offices and commercial sites across either for a specific region or globally, operating within a defined global process framework while delivering solutions that are fit‑for‑purpose for local operating environments. The role holder will align with bp's Code of Conduct, as well as all HSSE requirements, including continual support of HSSE objectives within the business, and taking a professional and disciplined approach to working with suppliers, to ensure clarity, consistency and fairness. Our procurement and supply chain management principles are always applied within that framework and in the context of relevant laws and regulation. Key Accountabilities The role is focused on handling and driving low/medium complexity sourcing projects in support of business objectives. In addition to sourcing, this role is responsible for developing supplier relationships and proactively identifying value opportunities for the Castrol business. This includes demand management, definition of approach to market based on predefined Category strategy, source selection, contract negotiation, creation & maintenance and supplier relation/performance management as relevant. The ideal candidate has practical experience in sourcing of services and commodities in line with Category scope, knowledge of contracts and legal terms, sourcing strategy preparation, coupled with a strong commercial orientation, communication and team member management skills. The Sourcing Senior Analyst will handle end-to-end Sourcing and Contracting projects as per business request, but not limited to the following activities: Case Management Receive, implement and continuously handle a high volume of concurrent Sourcing and Contracting project requests via the Case Management tool, prioritising workload based on business criticality, value and risk. Sourcing Strategy Gather and analyse market intelligence across the respective supply markets to inform sourcing strategies that support Castrol operational requirements, cost competitiveness and supply continuity. Develop sourcing strategies aligned to business requirements from manufacturing plants and commercial facilities, while ensuring compliance with global category strategies and governance. Develop the ATM (approach to market) based on the approved Sourcing Strategy, and handle the associated approval processes Supplier Prequalification Perform Suppliers' screening/prequalification and monitor/implement the process status as per the related guidelines Sourcing Event Management Proactively lead and handle the e2e Sourcing project plan and execution Drive the supplier selection process across ensuring fair, clear and competitive outcomes. Create cases and liaise with Event Management teams for sourcing projects and events (RFI, RFP, Reverse Auctions) with suppliers operating in diverse global, regional or local markets. Directly handle supplier engagement throughout the sourcing and negotiation process, ensuring clarity of requirements and commercial intent. Develop and obtain approvals for Award Recommendation documentation as per Governance Framework in respective regions. Contracting Determine the appropriate contract template and develop the contract content based on the information contained in the Sourcing Strategy, sourcing event and/or detailed scope of work specifications Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers to optimise total cost of ownership, risk allocation and operational flexibility for Castrol, within legal and category guidance. Escalate any contract term exceptions per the deviation process, and manage the approval process Manage the contract execution/signature process per the applicable POA (power of attorney) requirements for each BP entity Contract Operationalization and Management Operationalize contracts upon award in company tools and systems to enable effective execution, supplier performance monitoring and value realisation across Castrol sites.
