Network Engineer

About the role

🎯 Key Responsibilities 🔹 Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center network infrastructure. 🔹 Configure and support Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent networking technologies. 🔹 Manage network routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, and MPLS. 🔹 Administer firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, and network security solutions. 🔹 Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network monitoring tools. 🔹 Troubleshoot network incidents, outages, and performance issues within SLA requirements. 🔹 Support cloud networking environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 🔹 Perform network upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and infrastructure migrations. 🔹 Implement network security best practices and compliance requirements. 🔹 Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, technical documentation, and operational procedures. 🔹 Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives. 🔹 Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, and cloud teams on network-related projects. ✅ Required Skills & Experience ✔ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. ✔ 5+ years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering. ✔ Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs VPN BGP OSPF MPLS QoS SD-WAN ✔ Experience with enterprise firewalls: Palo Alto Fortinet Cisco ASA / Firepower Check Point ✔ Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent platforms. ✔ Knowledge of cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP. ✔ Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, or LogicMonitor. ✔ Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. ✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. ⭐ Preferred Certifications 🏅 CCNA / CCNP Enterprise 🏅 Palo Alto PCNSE 🏅 Fortinet NSE Certification 🏅 Aruba Certified Professional 🏅 AWS Advanced Networking Specialty 🏅 Azure Network Engineer Associate
