About the role

Join the Tilt team At Tilt , we see a side of people that traditional lenders miss. Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. With millions of customers worldwide , we're not just changing how people access financial products - we're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward. The Opportunity: Senior Mobile Engineer, Thrive The Thrive team owns Tilt 's credit products - the financial tools that help users grow their purchasing power and build stronger credit standing over time. We run two products: Thrive, a credit-building line of credit that can grow to $1,200+ through responsible use and reports directly to credit bureaus; and cash advance, which gives users flexible access to funds when they need them most. These aren't experimental bets - they're live products with real users, real compliance obligations, and real room to grow. Our next chapter is a unified product experience: eliminating the seams between our offerings so users move through one seamless journey, getting the right product for their situation without having to think about it. Getting there requires validating the right product constructs through focused experimentation before committing to full implementation. You'll lead that work on iOS. The team is lean and high-ownership - a staff iOS engineer, an Android engineer, and you. This is a net-new role created by expanded investment in both products simultaneously, not a backfill. Within 6-12 months, as our staff iOS engineer takes on broader platform responsibilities, you'll own the full iOS surface for both products. Travel for company offsites is expected at a minimum 2 times a year. How You'll Make an Impact Drive the application and approval funnel: Own the iOS experience across our credit products - optimizing conversion rates, improving funnel performance, and continuously raising the bar on how users move from application to active product use. Run experiments that advance the unified product vision: Test different product constructs and UX approaches that move us toward a single, seamless credit experience. You'll work from hypothesis to signal, validating what actually works before we scale it. Operate at the outcome level: You'll be handed a metric - say, 40% conversion - and expected to improve it through your own problem-solving. That means working with design and product to identify the right levers, not waiting for a spec that tells you exactly what to build. Hold the line on precision in a regulated product: Errors in credit products don't just create bugs - they trigger compliance requirements: corrective notices, potential fee refunds, regulatory exposure. Your attention to detail is as much a product requirement as your engineering skill. Grow into full iOS ownership: Work alongside a staff iOS engineer as they take on broader tilt-wide responsibilities. The path to owning iOS for both products is 6-12 months - this is a real and near-term expansion of scope. Collaborate across the full stack: Partner with PMs, designers, data science, and backend engineers to build credit experiences that hold up at every layer - technically, experientially, and regulatorily. Why You're a Great Fit 5+ years of experience as an iOS engineer building consumer-facing mobile products. You're strong enough to own technical tradeoffs and quality without close oversight. Consumer product background is non-negotiable. You've built products that real users interact with daily. Candidates who primarily worked on iOS infrastructure (e.g., app load time, build systems) or internal tooling are not the right fit for this role. Product experimentation and analytics experience. You've worked with A/B testing frameworks - Statsig, LaunchDarkly, or similar - and analytics platforms like Amplitude or FullStory. The specific tools matter less than your ability to instrument experiments, analyze user behavior, and turn signal into product decisions. Outcome-oriented, not ticket-oriented. You can take a conversion problem and drive an improvement independently - thinking through the funnel, partnering with design, designing experiments, and iterating - without needing someone to prescribe the path. Attention to detail that extends beyond code quality. You understand that in a regulated product, the gap between what you meant to ship and what you actually shipped has real downstream consequences. You build accordingly. Android experience or cross-platform interest is a plus. We're actively exploring how mobile engineers can stretch across both iOS and Android platforms as these products grow. That capability will matter. Don't meet every qualification? We care about potential over your past. If you're bringing ambition and drive to what we're building, we want to hear from you. What you'll get at Tilt Virtual-first teamwork: The Tilt team is c
